Brand new fitness classes blast away Christmas calories in just 20-minutes

Are you keeping your New Year's resolution to get fit? It can be tough - it's wet and grey outside, motivation can be at a low... But fear not, LA fitness has launched LA20™ high intensity, small group training classes to kick start members' New Year fitness resolutions. LA20’s™, which will be held daily across the gym chain’s 79 clubs, are designed to help all members fast track their way to fitness, helping them to maximise their workouts, burn calories and achieve fantastic results quicker.

Members will now be able to replace lazy lunchtime workouts with blasts of high intensity training that supports their weight loss, toning or muscle building goals.
By incorporating the latest thinking in fitness, LA20’s™ provides the optimum workout for any member who doesn’t have time for a lengthy gym workout. This includes: High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which involves alternating between short periods of intense exercise and slower paced recovery to burn fat and improve aerobic fitness; functional fitness, which focuses on strengthening your muscles to improve the ‘functions’ of your body; and resistance training, which fires up your metabolism, and in turn helps to reduce fat, improve shape and improve muscle definition.

Designed to really get the heart pumping and torch calories, LA20™ Bootcamp and Crucial Cardio push the body to the limit of physical fitness by combining HIIT with resistance training and bodyweight exercises.  LA20™ Triceps, Shoulders and Legs, Bums and Tums (LBT) focus on challenging key areas of the body, whilst LA20™ Abs puts stomach toning into a whole new perspective by engaging and developing your entire core through a variety of moves. Or for a workout that challenges multiple muscle groups, members can opt for with LA 20 Med Ball, Rower and Treadmill.

Tony Orme, Marketing Director for LA fitness says:  "We created LA20’s™ for members who want to squeeze the most from the limited time they have.
“It's all about maximising your time at the gym, slotting in an early morning session before the office, or fitting in a quick session after a long day at work.  LA20™ classes use sharp training which focus on the high intensity training method that has become so popular and effective.”

LA20s™ classes are NEW and EXCLUSIVE to LA fitness and are available in LA fitness clubs nationwide. Try out LA20s classes for FREE by downloading a three-day guest pass at www.lafitness.co.uk/fitness
